‘You’ll be missed’ Umer Sharif leaves entertainment industry sad

Pakistan’s legendary comedian Umar Sharif passed away after battling with prolong heart and kidney disease.

Umar, 66, was on his way to the United States of America (USA) via Air Ambulance. He was taken to the hospital in Germany after his health deteriorated during the journey.

While reacting to the news, entire entertainment industry expressed disappointment on the demise.

“I can’t express in words, how disappointing this news is for me. We have spent a lot of time together and he was a gem. I think everyone who wanted to do comedy whether in Pakistan or India, looked up to him for learning,” Behroze Sabzwari said while talking to ARY News.

Ali Zafar also paid tribute to the legendary comedian and shared how he always kept soft corner for fellow artists. “He was an institution in this industry. Be it junior or senior, he was always there for help. He always shared his experience with everyone and tried to make people learn from him,

“I have worked with him a lot of time and I have found him helpful every time. I have also seen his worth in India. Artists there followed him and wanted to work with him,” he told a media channel.

Meanwhile, Indian comedy star Kapil Sharma also shared his feeling on Umar’s demise.

Other Pakistani celebrities including Resham Khan, Javed Sheikh, Moammar Rana and people from other walks of life also expressed grief over the demise.
