Ahsan Khan believes that scripts of Pakistani dramas should include rape, violence, and all forms of abuse stories in order to educate the audience on a vast scale.

Speaking to Express Tribune, Khan recalled his drama Udaari which highlighted child abuse, and said his role in the serial changed his mindset about the world.

“I think the drama played a key role in normalising the discourse around child abuse and that was quite fulfilling to see,” said Khan.

“Rape, violence and all forms of abuse are grave issues which should find space in our scripts but the key is to address the problem without sensationalizing it. Yes, we should convey the ghastliness of the crime but also realize that we are walking on a slippery slope,” he reiterated.

It must be noted here that Khan has joined so many other actors including Yasir Hussain, Mahira Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Mansha Pasha, and Bushra Ansari who advocated for highlighting child and women abuse publicly to spread awareness.
