Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar regrets that Mahira Khan was the heroine of the drama serial ‘Sadqay Tumhare’ based on his life.
Khalil wrote Sadqay Tumhare which was his personal love story. Adnan Malik played the role of Khalil and Mahira played the female lead as Rukhsana.
Speaking to MYK News Tv, Khalil said the biggest regret of his life is that Mahira worked in a drama based on his life.
“I regret that Mahira was a heroine of a drama that was based on my life. And, this will continue throughout my life,” he said.
It must be noted here that Mahira had called out the writer for abusing feminist activist Marvi Sarmed in a live tv talk show. “I am shocked at what I have just heard and seen!! Sick to the core. This same man who abused a woman on tv is revered and given project after project because of what? We are as much to blame if not more for perpetuating this thinking!” she had said.
