Grammy season is coming back very soon with artists and record companies rushing to send in their material for consideration. USA-based Pakistani singer Arooj Aftab also took to her Instagram to announce that her song Udhero Na feat. Anoushka Shankar, daughter of legendary musician Ravi Shankar, has been submitted for a Grammy consideration.
“UDHERO NA FEAT. ANOUSHKA SHANKAR for your Grammy voting consideration in the Best Global Music Performance category,” she wrote in the caption.
She also went on to write a lyric from the song and shared what it’s about. “Ankhon main silay hoay ho, udhero na… this song about getting over your ex… must win for sure because we finally got over them,” she added.

Aftab is already a recipient of this prestigious award back when she made her fans and the whole country proud by winning a Grammy for her song Mohabbat in the Best Global Performance category. She also had a nomination for the Best New Artist category.
The list of Grammy nominations will go live on November 15. The grand event will take place in Los Angeles on February 5 of next year.
