Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh took his words back against Pakistan and highly praised the Green Shirts for notching a convincing 10-wickets victory against India in T20 World Cup 2021.

Harbhajan, who underrated Pakistan and asked for a walkover in T20 World Cup 2021, was pushed to backfoot after his team suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of arch-rivals India.

“Pakistan outplayed India yesterday and all credit goes to them. They were the better team in the ground in all three departments and I take my words back,” Harbhajan was quoted speaking to an Indian tv channel.

While replying to immense trolling by Pakistanis, Harbhajan defended his statement and said strong teams also lose sometimes.

“I accept that Pakistan played immensely well but India is a strong team without any doubt. We have seen how India often defeated Pakistan in mega-events. That was my experience that spoke. Still, I believe India can win eight out of 10 matches against Pakistan,” he said.

It is pertinent to mention here that Harbhajan was highly trolled for his statement ‘Pakistan should give a walkover to India as they can’t win’ after India’s defeat.

He challenged former Pakistani pacer, Shoaib Akhtar, for a confirmed defeat of Pakistan at the hands of India. Akhtar also trolled Harbhajan in a couple of videos and social media posts after Pakistan’s victory.
