Controversial Umar Akmal gets into hot water after reportedly misbehaving with a foreign trainer at National Cricket Academy (NCA) Lahore.
According to the sources, Akmal showed anger after being called as unfit by the local coach. He immediately took out his shirt and asked the coach “Charbee Kahan hai (Show me where is the fat on my body)?”
The coaching staff has reported the matter to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) which is likely to take action against the discarded cricketer.
On the other hand, Kamran Akmal, Umar Akmal, and Salman Butt have been failed to meet the required fitness level. Details revealed that three of them have only passed the running test, whereas failed in other Tests including the YoYo examination.
It must be noted here that these three have also not signed the PCB’s provincial contracts yet. They have reservations related to personal interest.
Last year, the PCB has given central contracts to all the players, officials, and team management who took part in the domestic season 2019-20. It is worth mentioning here that PCB has faced an immense backlash against revamping domestic structure. The cricket board excluded the departments and included six regions. The structure reportedly was enforced on the special directives from PCB’s patron-in-chief and Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan.
