Veteran actor Gul-e-Rana talked about her future daughter-in-law Meerub Ali who got engaged to his son and singer Asim Azhar this year.
In an interview with BBC Urdu, Gul said she won’t like her daughter-in-law to misbehave in any capacity, otherwise she will be free in every thing.
“In many households, daughters-in-law are treated as domestic labours. I am against it” she said.
“Yes, one thing I cannot tolerate is badtameezi (disrespect). And only abusing someone isn’t disrespect, disrespect has many forms and I have told Asim that I will tolerate neither,” she added.
It must be noted here that Asim and Meerub made their relationship public by getting engaged in a family ceremonial in March.
