Wajahat Rauf’s upcoming flick Chhalawa had its trailer launch yesterday, and rest assured, you’re in for a roller coaster ride. Romantic comedies centralised on weddings make it big in the industry, and that is exactly what this film promises to deliver.
The vivid trailer opens up with a brief introduction of Mehwish Hayat’s character who is more than your typical Punjabi young woman. It is then revealed that her love interest, Azfar Rehman, arrives in her hometown to win the hearts of her family, total Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge style.
To add some more spice to the plot, the film also includes Asad Siddiqui, Zara Noor Abbas, and Aashir Wajahat as trusty sidekicks of the leads. Even Mehmood Aslam, starring as Hayat’s father, appears to be doing a convincing job with his role. In addition, Hayat is also seen performing an item number, which will surely be a treat for all her fans.
