IU Ratiocination 2.0, a motivational event with a theme of inspiring students as guest speakers share stories of their hardships during their journey, held at Iqra university this last week. The event turned out to be one of the biggest events in the history of the University.
Saleem Mairaj, the versatile Pakistani actor, popular Youtuber Hamza Ibrahim, actress and host Dua Malik, comedian Usman Mazhar, the head of partnerships of Quetta Gladiators Waris Aqeel were the prominent speakers at the event.
Saleem Mairaj shared his experience of how he got the breakthrough at the mainstream cinema and T.V with constant hope and dedication.
“I was one of the low key students but the dedication of becoming an actor was in my mind since I got to see dramas of the late 80s. I was once doing a theatre play where Sania Saeed, a famous actor caught my performance and after that, I have been so thankful to God for his gratefulness,” Mairaj shared.
“I got the chance to act in only one scene of superhit film Na-maloom Afrad back in 2014 but it turned the table for me. I’ve been lined up for so many movies and the appreciation and love has been commendable,” he added.
The young inspiring vlogger Hamza Ibrahim who came into the scene first in Irfan Junejo’s vlog, always had a passion to do these things because of the passion of proving himself.
“I had a very bad phase in my life, the turn was unexpected and I with my family had to live in a home of just one roof. I had to do the job at burger joints for the two-day meal but I didn’t lose hope at that moment, I knew the best out of me will come soon,” he told.
Mr. Rizwan Choudhry, the real-life counselor and the master speaker shared his encounters of how difficult life was and how he battled the connections to get at this stage.
“Make your vision clear about what you want to do, and start giving favors, you will be amazed to see the results it gives you.”
