Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and his team are undoubtedly facing the brunt of all backlash ever since they lost the match to India. However, some people clearly don’t know the difference between constructive criticism and being downright hostile. In a video that surfaced recently, a Pakistani ‘fan’ is apparently seen passing obscene remarks at Ahmed in person which is utterly disgraceful, to say the least.

The video is shot by the man himself, who happened to run into Ahmed at what seems like a mall. Without a care in the world, the man repeatedly asked the player why he’s fat as a pig, in front of his son.

As soon as the video made rounds on social media, many users started calling out the person for his shameful act.

A lot of people were quick to point out how Ahmed was the one whose captaincy made the team get their hands on the Champions Trophy in the past, and his current defeat shouldn’t be judged so harshly.

Perhaps to incorporate some humour into the situation, some even made memes out of the man’s photo, placing it next to pictures of pigs.

Some also brought up city wars, and started calling the guy out on his Punjabi status, and referring to him as ‘pendu’.

While some brought PTI into the mix, blaming politicians for the way people are behaving.

A lot of users wanted to know the whereabouts of the man, so they could set him straight.

Many praised Ahmed for turning a deaf ear to the man’s disgraceful behaviour, and for not reacting aggressively.

The guy in the video is receiving all sorts of criticism, and rightfully so. And we wholeheartedly appreciate Ahmed for keeping his cool in a situation as such and for dealing with hate so gracefully.
