Ehsan Mani, Chairman – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), said that nothing is confirmed until Asian Cricket Council (ACC) officially calls off the Asia Cup 2020.

Mani replied to the President – Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI), Saurav Ganguly’s statement over Asia Cup 2020 cancellation. “Asia Cup has been cancelled,” Ganguly was quoted saying.

“We are still waiting for the ACC to come back to us,” replied Mani. “They are making inquiries about certain (things). Maybe, Sourav knows something that I don’t know. That’s possible. But we have not heard anything from the ACC, so I can’t comment on that,” the PCB chief added.

It is pertinent to mention here that PCB was to host the Asian event in September this year. The tournament seems impossible to take place as the world grapples with the coronavirus pandemic. ACC officials are scheduled to meet tomorrow [July 9] via teleconference to discuss the future of the multi-nation tournament.
