It must be noted here that in a viral video on social media, Naila can be listened to requesting the government to provide financial assistance for artists. She also shared that it’s been six years that she is suffering from cancer and was admitted to the hospital due to infection.
“I have been suffering from cancer for the last six years. Meanwhile, I have always thought about having no support from the government for artists, especially seniors and those ailing ones,” she said.
“Policymakers and government should think about and develop something worthy for artists like me who are going through a tough patch of life. It could have helped a lot,” she added.

Naila suggested authorities make a way to pay artists an amount for their re-run projects. “Earlier, when I joined PTV, I used to get a certain amount for my re-run dramas. But, later on, that thing stopped. The last drama I did, re-ran at least four times but I didn’t get anything for it. Authorities should look into it,” concluded Naila.
