The chairman Pakistan Cricket Board, Mr. Najam Sethi has announced that Karachi will host West Indies in three T20s on April 1st, 2nd, and 4th, 2018. The city will also host the Pakistan Super League season III final on 25th of this month.

“Just a couple of hours ago, West Indies Cricket Board has confirmed that they will play three matches on April 1, 2 and 4th in National Stadium of Karachi,” informed Sethi in a press conference at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

“I was in discussion with their board and was working with them day and night and just come to the conclusion today,” he added.

Sethi added that PCB put a lot efforts to bring cricket back in Karachi. “This is how we intend to bring Karachi back on map of cricket,” he told.

Further he also confirmed that the arrangements at National Stadium in Karachi are going fast and it is ready to host international matches. “Many people were asking if Karachi stadium will be renovated on time and I had been ensuring them that it will be done. Now with these four matches Karachi has a lot of cricket coming home so these people should welcome them in best way,” he told.

The chairman also told that the trophy will not travel to Lahore for playoffs and directly go to Karachi. “The PSL trophy will be taken directly to Karachi from Dubai where final will be held with housefull stadium,” he told.
