Shaheen Shah Afridi has come up with a public apology for former Pakistani captain Sarfaraz Ahmed following a spat with him during the PSL 6 on Tuesday.

Taking to Twitter, Afridi said he respects Sarfaraz a lot and always considers him a captain. “Saifi Bhai is the pride of all of us. He was and will always remain a captain for me. Whatever happened in the game that day was the heat of the moment. I should have stayed quiet in respect of him. I have always respected my seniors and pray and wish the best for Sarfaraz Bhai,” he wrote.

Shaheen suffered immense criticism after a video of him losing control over Sarfaraz went viral on social media. He bowled a bouncer to Sarfaraz, in reply the wicket-keeper batsman asked him to cool down.

The young pacer was called upon by the match referee after Quetta Gladiators complained about his behaviour on the field. The Match referee listened to him and asked him to cool down.
